This was actually a project for an oil painting class I was in. The assignment was to pick a photo, and paint our own version of it. The photo I chose was an extraordinary piece by Yuri Bonder. I just altered the color palette a bit. Later, I gave this particular painting to a close friend as a birthday gift... and then painted another version of it, larger, in sightly different colors from my own original palette. I hope to get that painting posted eventually as well.
Honestly, this is probably the favorite of the works of yours I've seen so far. Maybe it's because it's one of the few of your works that doesn't have a human subject, maybe it's the way the color and theme work together, maybe it just suits my mood at the time... I wish I could be more clear about what I like, but all I know is that I do. Like it, that is.
